Acting Prime Minister of Japan, Naoto Kan was re-elected Tuesday as leader of the ruling Democratic Party. Accordingly, Kahn retained his position as head of the Cabinet of Japan, ITAR-TASS.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Katsuya Okada announced the resignation in connection with the decision to occupy the post of general secretary of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, said on Thursday the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.Okada said that his departure from government would be minor reshuffle in the cabinet and in the leadership of the Democratic Party.It is expected that on Friday, Prime Minister Naoto Kan will report on further rearrangements in the Cabinet.
