Footballer of the national team of Denmark Christian Poulsen, the last two years playing for Juventus, went to Liverpool. August 12 Poulsen has signed with English club to three-year contract, the official site of Liverpool. According to British media, "Liverpool midfielder paid 4.5 million pounds (about 5,5 million euros).
New head coach Roy Hodgson has worked with Poulsen, when coached the Danish Copenhagen. 30-year-old midfielder played for this team in 2000-2002, and then played for Germany's Schalke, Spain's Sevilla FC and Juventus. For the Denmark squad he spent 77 games.
As noted by Sky Sports, signed a contract with Poulsen could mean that as soon as Liverpool left the Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano. He expressed a desire to move to another team, and they are interested in Inter Milan and Spain's Barcelona.
