Emergencies Ministry has announced that the area of natural fires in the Central Federal District in the last day has decreased about 30 times and now stands at less than 100 hectares. This August 19 RIA Novosti reported.
Now there are 16 CFA pockets of forest and peat fires, their area of 90.7 hectares. For comparison, on August 18 in the district acted in 30 seats of fire in the area of 2,6 thousand hectares. However, complete elimination of ignition timing are not called.
Across Russia as of August 19, recorded 313 seats of fire, their total area of 11,2 thousand hectares. August 18 operated 410 centers in the area of 20,3 thousand hectares. Thus, for the day area of fires has decreased by about half. From fire fighting 166,000 people and 26,500 vehicles.
Total in Russia since the beginning of the period fires burned 884.3 thousand hectares. Killed about 50 people, burned more than 2500 homes. In a number of regions in relation to fire regime was introduced emergency. According to the MOE website, August 19 will consider the abolition of this regime on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow and Ryazan regions, as well as the Republic of Mordovia.
