Killer singer John Lennon, one of four legendary Beatles, the sixth time in a petition for release from prison, special treatment in the U.S. state of New York. 55-year-old Mark Chapman on August 10 should be brought before a special commission dealing with cases of a few dozen prisoners seeking release.
In July 2010 the widow of John Lennon and Yoko Ono for the sixth time opposed the release of Mark Chapman, sending a letter to the commission. She stated that she was afraid for his own safety and the safety of relatives in the event that the murderer of her husband be released, according to Interfax.
Mark Chapman shot John Lennon outside his home in Manhattan in December 1980, asking the first singer to sign on his plate. The murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment with the right to appeal in 20 years.
